Part-Time Instructor – Criminal Justice

About the role
The Department of Criminal Justice seeks qualified part‑time instructors for the Fall 2026 semester. This temporary, semester‑by‑semester appointment involves teaching both introductory and advanced courses in criminal justice, criminology, and research methods.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver face‑to‑face and/or online lectures, labs, and discussion sections.
- Prepare course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with departmental standards.
- Participate in faculty training, review sessions, and program development activities.
- Provide academic advising to criminal justice majors and support student organizations.
- Contribute to departmental assessment and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- J.D., Master’s degree, or equivalent in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of teaching experience in criminal justice or crime‑scene investigation courses.
- Demonstrated ability to teach diverse student populations.
