Part-Time Groundskeeper / Porter

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Part‑Time Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of its La Quinta community. Working weekdays, you will ensure common areas, amenities and the surrounding grounds are clean, well‑kept and welcoming for residents and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep all common areas tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change locks according to property policy and ensure pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of groundskeeping experience.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks required for grounds maintenance.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
