About the role
The Part‑Time Forklift Operator will safely move a variety of freight in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long at our West Sacramento service center. Work is performed on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock, Monday‑Friday on various shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload freight using a forklift, ensuring safe handling and placement.
- Operate the forklift on a dock environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and verify shipping manifests and interact with computer displays to track inventory.
Required profile
- Physical ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
- Basic familiarity with LTL (less‑than‑truckload) operations.
