Part-Time Family Assistant / Household Manager

About the role

This part‑time position supports a busy family in Sherwood, Oregon, alternating between weeks focused on childcare and weeks centered on household organization. The role offers a flexible schedule of 10‑20 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours as needs evolve.

Key responsibilities

• Provide light supervision for two children, manage after‑school routines, prepare snacks, and transport them to activities.
• Maintain household organization systems, handle daily resets, coordinate seasonal changes, and oversee repairs and contractor quotes.
• Run errands such as restocking pantry items, handling mail and packages, and completing returns or dry‑cleaning.
• Prepare three meals per week, manage kitchen cleanliness, and handle school lunches and snacks.
• Perform laundry duties, change linens, and keep the laundry area organized.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance, fuel and clean family cars, and manage registration tasks.
• Execute deep‑cleaning projects, organize high‑use areas, and support seasonal outdoor‑space maintenance.
• Manage household calendars, reminders, and administrative follow‑up.

Required profile

• Flexible and comfortable shifting gears to support kids, meals, errands, pet care, or administrative tasks.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain certification before employment.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to drive the family vehicle.
• Ability to maintain a smoke‑free and fragrance‑free environment.
