Part-time Faculty – Primary Care of Childbearing & Childrearing Practicum

About the role

Chamberlain University seeks experienced industry professionals to teach the Primary Care of the Childbearing and Childrearing Family Practicum on a part‑time, remote basis. Courses run one to two times per week for eight weeks and blend live interaction with online discussions and assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an approved syllabus that aligns with campus templates and terminal objectives.
• Organize, prepare, and regularly update all course materials, incorporating appropriate online technologies.
• Model effective oral and written communication to engage students and clarify learning objectives.
• Set clear expectations by publishing assignment dates, exam schedules, and grading criteria.
• Ensure exam content matches course objectives and provide timely, fair feedback.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including compliance with university policies.

Required profile

• MSN and DNP (or MSN and PhD in nursing) degrees.
• Minimum 1–2 years of online graduate‑level teaching experience.
• Active, unencumbered multi‑state RN license and FNP certification.
• Clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Subject‑matter expertise in primary care for women and families.
• Willingness to obtain an Illinois nursing license prior to teaching.
