Part-Time Criminal Justice Faculty Instructor

About the role

CSU Global is seeking a Part‑Time Faculty member to teach online courses in its Criminal Justice program. The instructor will deliver 8‑week courses through the university’s learning management system, engage actively with students, and support retention initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 8‑week online Criminal Justice courses using Blackboard and Canvas.
• Provide timely feedback, grade assignments, and monitor student progress.
• Complete a pre‑course quality check to ensure alignment with university, accreditation, and state standards.
• Maintain active communication with students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the Provost, Program Manager, and Faculty Operations Specialist on course delivery and improvement.

Required profile

• Terminal degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice.
• At least 5 years of current industry experience in the criminal justice field.
• Minimum of two years of online higher‑education teaching experience.
• Documented professional engagement (publications, presentations, memberships, or specialized training).

Required skills

• Strong experience with Blackboard LMS.
• Strong experience with Canvas LMS.
