Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty

About the role

Chamberlain University, part of Covista, is seeking part-time clinical nursing faculty to teach with its BSN Nursing program in Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves mentoring students in person at an inpatient clinical setting, linking classroom and simulation learning to real-world patient care. Schedule depends on course need and clinical specialty for each 8-week session, typically 3-4 consecutive 12-hour shifts over 1-2 weeks, and additional dates may not be available.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences and supervise and evaluate nursing students providing care to individuals or groups.
• Provide documented feedback to students and offer remediation as needed.
• Keep current on agency and clinical policies and procedures with the help of agency personnel.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments and return homework, quizzes, tests and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• Contribute to program and College development, and may teach didactic content under the course coordinator's supervision.
• Report to the dean or assistant dean, and handle other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• An unencumbered professional RN license in Oklahoma; an Illinois RN license is required to teach all courses.
• Active BLS certification (AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network).
• At least two years of recent professional nursing experience.
• No teaching experience required; nurses with solid clinical experience and a completed MSN are encouraged to apply.

What we offer

• Expected pay of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment.
