About the role
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Department of Human Ecology seeks a part‑time Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in Child and Family Development through its online program. This non‑tenure‑track position focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction, advising students, and supporting curriculum development.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate child and family development courses online.
- Provide virtual office hours and academic advising to students.
- Supervise student field experiences related to child development.
- Participate in curriculum development, including creating new courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
Required profile
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
- Proficiency with computers and technology relevant to online teaching.
- Demonstrated understanding of interdisciplinary approaches to child development.
