Part-Time Bartender - Sky View Observatory

About the role

Sky View Observatory (SVO), operated by Legends, is a new guest experience on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center in Seattle, offering 360-degree views including Mt. Rainier and Bellevue. It is looking for a part-time bartender to prepare and serve drinks and support the bar during events.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to the restaurant's standard recipes.
• Accept guest payment and process credit card charges, and check IDs to verify age requirements for alcohol.
• Greet guests, take food and beverage orders and record them accurately in the Point of Sale system.
• Maintain bottles and glasses attractively and functionally, and keep the bar area fully stocked.
• Perform opening, closing and cleaning procedures, and report equipment problems to the F&B manager.
• Set up the bar and serve beverages during events.
• Provide guests with general Seattle attraction information and collaborate with team members for smooth service.

Required profile

• At least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 3+ years of experience as a restaurant bartender in a high-volume bar with a craft cocktail program.
• Ability to work extended hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance; MAST and Food Handler's permit required.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine and beer.
• Ability to follow specialty cocktail recipes and use bar tools, especially jiggers, for measuring alcohol.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.

What we offer

• Pay of up to $23.00 per hour depending on experience.
