Paramedicine Instructor - Program Director

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified professional to serve as both faculty member and Program Director for its Paramedicine Program. This position combines classroom instruction with program leadership to ensure high‑quality education for future emergency medical responders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly learning planners that align with established Student Learning Outcomes for each course.
• Deliver course content using effective oral and written communication and current EMS procedures.
• Develop and finalize course syllabi and Blackboard LMS courses using department templates.
• Assess student progress, record grades, attendance, and maintain compliance with institutional, TCSG, and accreditation standards.
• Advise students on academic and occupational pathways, participate in recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities.
• Assist with budgeting for instructional equipment and supplies, and contribute to departmental committees and community projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• EMS Instructor license (or higher) issued by the Department of Health and Safety.
• Verified experience delivering pre‑hospital emergency care.
• Knowledge of the current National EMS Scope of Practice and Standards.
• Academic training and experience equivalent to that of a paramedic.

• Proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System.
