Paralegal – Tax Insurance

About the role

This position offers a unique chance to join a fast‑growing team that underwrites tax insurance policies for complex M&A and other tax‑related transactions. Based in Manhattan, you will work closely with senior tax underwriters and attorneys, supporting the entire underwriting workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior tax underwriters throughout the underwriting process, from initial submission to policy issuance.
• Manage incoming broker submissions, ensuring all required documentation is complete and organized.
• Track deal progress in an online database and coordinate work streams with internal teams, outside counsel, and clients.
• Communicate with brokers, counsel, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient transaction execution.
• Help draft and revise tax insurance policy documents, quotes, and endorsements.
• Maintain accurate electronic deal files and underwriting records.
• Support special projects and process‑improvement initiatives as the business scales.

Required profile

• Highly organized, detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Intellectual curiosity and critical‑thinking mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification; experience with M&A or corporate legal documents is a plus.
