Paralegal Studies Instructor

About the role

The Paralegal Studies Instructor will deliver online courses for LSU's non‑credit Paralegal Studies certificate program. This role involves creating an engaging virtual classroom experience for adult learners pursuing legal support careers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct weekly live lectures via Zoom for assigned paralegal courses.
• Develop, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness (approximately 5% of time).
• Attend biannual faculty meetings and fulfill other duties as assigned (approximately 5% of time).

Required profile

• Juris Doctorate with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with paralegals or having served as a paralegal.
• Preferred: licensed attorney status.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoom for delivering live online instruction.
