About the role
The Paralegal Specialist (Recent Graduate) position supports senior paralegals and attorneys within the Criminal Division. The role involves legal research, case evaluation, and preparation of memoranda for a variety of criminal law sections.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate applicable cases, laws, and regulations related to criminal investigations and prosecutions.
- Assist senior paralegals in drafting memoranda, litigation reports, and summarizing allegations, facts, and investigation results.
- Provide research support to Section Attorneys across Appellate, Human Rights and Special Prosecutions, Money Laundering, Narcotics and Forfeiture, and Violent Crime and Racketeering sections.
- Contribute to the preparation of legal documents and briefing materials for court filings.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a legal education background.
- Ability to support senior paralegals and attorneys in complex criminal law matters.
- Strong analytical skills for case and regulatory assessment.
