Paralegal Specialist

About the role

The Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at US Cyber Command seeks a Paralegal Specialist to provide high‑level legal support. The incumbent will exercise independent judgment in applying laws, regulations, and agency policies to complex issues affecting the command.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research of federal regulations, case law, statutes, and government policies.
• Prepare documentation for complaints, terminations, and litigation, including case files and correspondence for review.
• Interpret legal precedents and draft clear opinions and recommendations.
• Compile litigation reports and gather evidence for lawsuits involving the U.S. Army.
• Assist the Ethics Counselor by researching and drafting ethics opinions on administrative law matters.
• Identify legal, policy, and administrative issues and support recommendations on complex legal matters.

Required profile

• Eligibility for a suitability or fitness determination following a background investigation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance and complete a counter‑intelligence polygraph.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time and work flexible hours, including overtime.
• Submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE‑450) upon appointment and annually.
