Paralegal / Legal Assistant (Construction Management)

About the role
Armand Corporation, an award‑winning M/WBE construction management firm, is looking for a full‑time Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support its legal team. The role provides comprehensive legal and administrative assistance across a portfolio of infrastructure, environmental and transportation projects in the New York metropolitan area.
Key responsibilities
- Organize, maintain, and track legal documents, contracts, and project records using document management systems.
- Draft, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, reports, and project materials.
- Support billing, invoicing, and budget tracking for legal services and outside counsel.
- Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law related to infrastructure, environmental, and transportation matters and prepare memoranda.
- Track public records requests, responses, appeals, and related correspondence end‑to‑end.
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect, organize, and produce documents for records requests and apply appropriate redactions.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (engineering, procurement, project management) and external counsel on project deliverables, including third‑party agreements.
- Schedule and manage logistics for meetings with Commissioners and senior leadership; draft and archive Board and Committee minutes, resolutions, and governance records.
- Monitor compliance obligations under federal and state laws and contractual requirements, communicating requirements and maintaining documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field (Paralegal Certificate a plus).
- Minimum 5 + years of paralegal experience in construction management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, public procurement processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear legal memoranda and meeting minutes.
