About the role

The Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Outpatient Staff Registered Nurse provides and supervises direct patient care within the VA outpatient setting. The RN coordinates education, self‑management, and customer satisfaction across the continuum of care.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver and oversee all elements of the nursing process for outpatient veterans.
  • Coordinate patient education and self‑management initiatives.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with VA policies.

Required profile

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Graduate of an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program (or equivalent foreign qualification with recognized equivalency).
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
  • Eligibility for Graduate Nurse Technician status if licensure is pending (temporary appointment possible).
