Overnight Staff Pharmacist

About the role

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking an Overnight Staff Pharmacist to join its fast‑growing online pharmacy operation in Daytona Beach, FL. The role involves hands‑on participation in the full prescription fulfillment cycle, from order initiation through verification, packing, and shipment, ensuring customers receive safe and accurate medication overnight.

Key responsibilities

• Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses.
• Collaborate with fellow pharmacists to conduct thorough quality‑assurance checks before shift end.
• Perform ancillary housekeeping tasks such as checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing medication substitutions, and approving canisters.
• Answer clinical questions and provide guidance to customers and staff.
• Investigate dispensing errors, facilitate proper resolution, and report findings.
• Collate and deliver relevant pharmacy information to the distribution team.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, federal and state laws, and regulations.
• Maintain customer satisfaction in partnership with the pharmacy team.
• Fill, verify, and pack orders for shipment, including pharmacist verifications.
• Manage customer profiles in PharmacyOS, process initial prescription orders, coordinate prescription transfers, and acquire new prescriptions.
• Focus on system‑based verification and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment (additional licenses may be required).
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations concerning patient care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.

Required skills

• PharmacyOS (pharmacy management system).
