Outpatient Scheduler/Secretary

About the role

We are seeking an organized Scheduler/Secretary to support our outpatient department. In this role you will manage appointment scheduling, coordinate rooms and equipment, and ensure accurate data entry in a fully computerized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient procedures by applying special instructions and procedural information.
• Identify the type of procedure requested and allocate appropriate rooms and equipment.
• Enter and verify patient and procedure data in computer systems, correcting errors as needed.
• Generate and print reports related to scheduling activities.
• Maintain communication with clinical staff to confirm scheduling details.

Required profile

• At least one year of medical‑related clerical experience or an associate’s degree.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of computer applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with medical terminology and follow departmental CPR certification requirements when applicable.
