Outpatient Nurse (RN)

About the role

Join Tidelands Health as an Outpatient Nurse (RN) and provide high‑quality nursing care in a fast‑paced outpatient setting. You will work directly with patients, physicians, and the care team to ensure safe procedures and effective education.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs, and assist with office procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician order and draw blood samples.
• Provide patient education on office policies, medications, disease management, home treatments, and diet.
• Retrieve lab and imaging reports, place prescription calls, perform telephone triage, and obtain referrals/authorizations.
• Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, clean instruments, and dispose of biohazard waste per OSHA standards.
• Document care accurately and perform front‑office duties as assigned.
• Coordinate pre‑op workups, contact patients for pre‑op checklists, and assist with patient assessment before, during, and after procedures.

Required profile

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in South Carolina.
• Basic Life Support certification (within 30 days).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification preferred.
• General experience in a physician office setting.
