Outpatient Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

About the role

The Outpatient Nurse (RN) provides high‑quality nursing care in a fast‑paced outpatient setting, supporting patients through examinations, procedures, and post‑visit education. This full‑time, day‑shift position is part of Tidelands Health’s extensive network of clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms, record vital signs, and assist with office procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician orders and draw blood samples.
• Provide patient education on office policies, medication use, disease management, home treatments, and special diets.
• Retrieve lab and imaging reports, manage prescription calls, perform telephone triage, and obtain referrals/authorizations.
• Maintain exam rooms, order supplies, clean instruments, and dispose of biohazard waste per OSHA standards.
• Document care accurately and perform front‑office duties as assigned.
• Coordinate pre‑op workups, contact patients for pre‑op checklists, and assist with patient monitoring before, during, and after procedures.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse license in South Carolina (required).
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification (within 30 days) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification (preferred).
• General experience in a physician office setting.

Required skills

• Phlebotomy.
• Proficient PC and computer skills.
