Outpatient Internal Medicine & Primary Care Physician

About the role

Shaker Medical Group, in partnership with Holy Name Medical Center, is seeking a board‑certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to provide outpatient primary care in Northern New Jersey. The role focuses on office‑based patient visits and collaborative care within a growing network.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
• Perform physical examinations, order and interpret labs and imaging.
• Develop evidence‑based treatment plans and prescribe medications.
• Conduct minor surgical procedures such as suturing, wound care, and other office‑based interventions.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records using eClinicalWorks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.

Required profile

• MD or DO from an accredited institution with board certification.
• Active New Jersey medical license.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with eClinicalWorks EHR system.
• Experience performing gastric lavage, catheterization, airway management, tube feeding, dermabrasion, and psychopharmacology.
• Ability to administer injections and perform minor surgical procedures such as suturing and wound care.
