About the role

The Outpatient Access Lead (OAR Lead) supports the Ortho Clinic Front Office in Canandaigua, ensuring smooth patient flow and high‑quality service. Reporting to clinic leadership, the role blends operational oversight with hands‑on support for staff and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of Outpatient Access employees and ensure accurate, efficient, customer‑friendly service.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to front‑office and support staff.
• Serve as the eRecord super‑user, designing and implementing workflow improvements.
• Manage referral coordination, prior authorizations, and direct provider support.
• Assist clinic leadership with personnel matters, including evaluations and improvement plans.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (minimum 24 months) in a clinical or healthcare‑administrative setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, train staff, and handle operational challenges.
• Strong organizational skills and a customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record (eRecord) systems.
• Experience in workflow design and implementation.
• Knowledge of referral coordination and prior authorization processes.
