OT/ICS Cyber Security Architect – Hybrid – Houston, TX

About the role

The OT/ICS Cyber Security Architect will design, implement and optimise security solutions for industrial environments. Working with clients in energy, manufacturing, utilities and other critical infrastructure sectors, you will protect operational technology and industrial control systems while ensuring safety, reliability and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of OT/ICS security architectures, including network segmentation, secure remote access and integration with IT controls.
• Develop reference architectures, blueprints and roadmaps aligned with standards such as NIST 800‑82 and IEC 62443.
• Evaluate, select and configure security tools such as Claroty, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, CrowdStrike, BeyondTrust, Cisco, ServiceNow, Splunk and TxOne.
• Conduct security acceptance testing, risk assessments (including Cyber PHA) and vulnerability management for OT assets.
• Design monitoring solutions, integrate alerts with ServiceNow and support incident‑response planning for industrial environments.
• Create and maintain OT/ICS policies, standards and training materials for client personnel.

Required profile

• Proven experience securing OT/ICS environments in energy, manufacturing or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (NIST 800‑82, IEC 62443) and regulatory compliance.
• Hands‑on expertise with leading OT security platforms and network security devices.
• Ability to lead project teams and communicate technical concepts to both IT and OT stakeholders.
