About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a logistics focal point in Hillsboro, Oregon to manage inbound and outbound operations, customs documentation, and inventory control. The role supports outsourced logistics providers and ensures compliance with quality and regulatory standards while contributing to the company’s semiconductor manufacturing supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Review internal metrics/KPIs and align daily tasks to improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with outsourced logistics operations providers to manage inbound and outbound performance.
• Prepare import/export documentation such as customs declarations, shipper’s letters of instruction, and certificates of origin.
• Execute inventory duties including MRB handling, cycle counts, and inventory reporting.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing research and data.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards by following documented work instructions and QMS procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift, bend, and work in noisy environments.
• Functional knowledge of logistics processes and business drivers.
• Problem‑solving skills for straightforward operational issues.
• Effective communication to explain complex information to team members.
• Willingness to travel up to 20 % of the time.
