Key responsibilities

• Lead and design opto‑mechanical solutions for complex subsystems, defining interfaces between optical, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Develop detailed component and assembly drawings that meet tight tolerancing for production and prototype configurations.
• Perform mechanical analyses to ensure performance stability under operational and environmental conditions.
• Design sub‑assemblies achieving sub‑micron alignment and long‑term stability across temperature ranges.
• Lead integration and alignment activities for prototype and production optical systems, creating alignment procedures and calibration workflows.
• Generate engineering test reports, specify and review documentation, and conduct complex engineering analysis.
• Design for manufacturability and high‑volume manufacturing, including supplier development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 7‑10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with subject‑matter expertise in CAD, thermodynamics, sheet‑metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, and Design for Excellence principles.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional program teams and communicate design status, risks, and trade‑offs.
