About the role
The ECU Opioid & Stimulant Prevention Grant Coordinator implements and monitors the university’s prevention services grant program. The role supports coalition planning, capacity building, volunteer coordination, and outcome data collection across campus.
Key responsibilities
- Provide training on evidence‑based prevention programs and conduct monthly outreach events.
- Manage and evaluate educational and marketing materials.
- Coordinate strategic planning meetings with the Project Director and campus team.
- Facilitate monthly campus prevention coalition meetings and maintain a visible prevention presence.
- Distribute medication lock boxes, coordinate Prescription Drug Take‑Back Day, and administer annual student surveys.
- Track project milestones, meet monthly benchmarks, and comply with BWI, ECU, and ODMHSAS policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, counseling or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Certified Prevention Specialist preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
Required skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of online media and prevention science.
- Ability to multitask, travel, and work evenings or weekends as needed.
- Strong ethical standards, confidentiality handling, and professional representation.
