Operator – Water Treatment & Sludge Processing

About the role

The Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining sludge dewatering, treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment at a refinery/industrial facility. The role ensures water is purified to meet customer specifications while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses and related material‑handling devices.
• Learn and independently run assigned machines, consistently meeting processing and quality targets.
• Utilize computer programs for process control and data recording.
• Collaborate with team members and readily assume additional responsibilities.
• Provide 24‑hour rotational emergency on‑call support when required.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English operational, safety and quality instructions.
• Basic mathematical calculation skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Pass a drug test and criminal background check.
