Operator II/Trainer – Production Technical Operations (Day Shift)

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Operator II/Trainer for Production Technical Operations on the day shift. The role combines hands‑on equipment operation with training responsibilities, ensuring the production floor runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on production equipment and systems.
• Coordinate and monitor workflow to meet schedules, volume targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Review work orders, allocate resources, and support daily production activities for operational efficiency.
• Move, pack, sort, and handle raw materials and finished goods according to established procedures.
• Monitor product quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions such as segregation, rework, or scrap.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation for compliance and traceability.
• Provide real‑time coaching, reinforce inspection techniques, and ensure associates are trained and certified per SOPs.
• Track training progress, support continuous‑improvement initiatives, and adhere to GxP requirements.

Required profile

• Experience operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to train and certify production associates.
• Familiarity with GxP, SOPs, and quality documentation.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and cost objectives.
