Operator Apprentice – Rotating Shift (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights)

About the role

We are looking for an Operator Apprentice to join our rotating‑shift team. The position works a 40‑hour week on a two‑week day schedule followed by two weeks of nights, supporting safe and efficient production in a wood‑products mill.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safe work areas by collecting debris, disposing of sawdust and dropped lumber.
• Clean industrial equipment and workstations.
• Relieve production positions and operate various light and heavy industrial machinery.
• Adapt to changing daily assignments and support mill safety policies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and in loud, high‑volume environments.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, bend and lift up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends.
• Commitment to follow West Fraser safety policies and complete pre‑employment background check, drug screen and physical.
