Operator 1 Drumming

About the role

The Operator 1 Drumming is responsible for operating, troubleshooting and maintaining drum and IBC (tote) filling stations, belt‑driven conveyors, industrial forklifts and related automated equipment. The role ensures safe, efficient handling of chemicals and strict compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain drum & IBC filling stations, belt conveyors and industrial forklifts.
• Select, inspect and inventory customer‑supplied empty drums and IBCs.
• Apply labels accurately and verify work orders.
• Control 2‑sided filler stations via HMI/PLC, adjust packages, apply sequence numbers and verify fill weights.
• Operate pneumatic diaphragm pumps, connect bulk tank trailers, and manage valves for chemicals, nitrogen, steam and water.
• Complete daily documentation such as inspection sheets, work orders, JHAs and checklists.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks including hose, fitting and filter replacements.
• Repackage damaged drums/totes, palletize loads, and maintain housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals and follow PPE protocols.
• Experience operating industrial forklifts with various attachments.
• Proficiency in reading and following work orders and quality‑control procedures.
• Capability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance.
