Operations Supervisor – Phoenix Processing Center

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking an Operations Supervisor for its Phoenix Processing Center. In this role you will lead a team responsible for the distribution and processing of U.S. currency, ensuring operational excellence in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, and direct distribution and processing activities, optimizing staff resources, inventory levels, and machine utilization.
• Set short‑ and long‑term goals for the team and monitor performance against quality, cost, efficiency, and effectiveness metrics.
• Create and maintain quality‑control policies and work procedures to meet risk‑management requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members for career progression.
• Deliver training on system equipment, hardware/software upgrades, and compliance standards.
• Identify and implement solutions that improve daily production, address risk weaknesses, and enhance employee engagement.
