Operations Summer Internship – 2027

About the role

The Operations Intern will support the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s business operations by working on projects that keep processes sound, up‑to‑date, efficient, and well‑documented. Interns gain exposure to a variety of operational challenges across multiple teams while developing foundational knowledge for future careers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams such as Audit, Banking Supervision, District Cash Services, and Enterprise Risk Management on operational improvement projects.
• Document, update, and streamline operational procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Full‑time undergraduate or graduate student expected to graduate between December 2027 and June 2029.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a strong interest in public service.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on‑site for the full 10.5‑week internship.
