Operations Planning Analyst

About the role

Moog is seeking an Operations Planning Analyst to join its Military Aircraft group in East Aurora, NY. The analyst will serve as the central hub for planning, controlling, and monitoring production activities to ensure on‑time delivery of customer commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain part planning parameters aligned with the company’s materials strategy and demand profile.
• Convert demand signals into work orders using established planning systems.
• Track material shortages and lead times, mitigating risks to the production schedule.
• Develop balanced production plans through capacity analysis and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Assess engineering order changes for schedule impact and manage obsolescence.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings to review part/program status and support customer inventory audits.
• Maintain optimal work‑in‑process levels and provide clear scheduling status to work centers.
• Update Planning Bill of Materials (PBOMs) and construct Line of Balance (LOB) reports.
• Expedite orders, release and track prove‑out work orders, and conduct aging WIP reviews.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the planning department and value‑stream teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years of planning or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
