Operations Manager – Distribution & Fabrication

About the role

The Operations Manager will plan, develop and direct a safe, efficient, high‑morale distribution and fabrication operation. The role works closely with senior management to shape the branch’s strategic direction, driving profitability, sales growth and operational efficiency while maintaining strong internal and external communication.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and develop the annual business plan.
• Coordinate Inside Sales, set competitive pricing to maximize gross margin and sales.
• Ensure accurate, timely shipping, receiving and material processing.
• Maintain organized inventory and design storage layout.
• Manage Inside Sales staff, production/fabrication and distribution teams, including recruiting, training, payroll and performance evaluation.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects focused on lean, quality and safety, and maintain all safety programs and documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; a four‑year degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience managing an industrial distribution operation.
• At least five years’ experience leading and developing teams.
• Five years’ industry experience in fluid conveyance or fluid sealing.
• Proven business‑management knowledge with the ability to make sound decisions.
• Proficiency with computers and business software; experience with P21 is a plus.
• Strong verbal, written, mathematical and interpersonal skills; fluency in English, Spanish beneficial.
