Operations Manager – Biorepository

About the role

SriSai Biopharmaceutical Solutions is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily biorepository activities at its Frederick, MD facility. The role demands a strong leader who can ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily biorepository workflows, including sample receiving, packaging & labeling, inventory management, shipping and distribution.
• Monitor operational KPIs, address deviations in real time and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all activities follow SOPs, GxP requirements and quality standards, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Supervise, coach and develop frontline staff, supporting onboarding, training and competency.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, HR, Finance, IT and Facilities to sustain compliant operations.
• Maintain critical infrastructure such as ultra‑low temperature freezers, temperature monitoring systems, alarms and backup power.
• Respond to operational risks, equipment issues and temperature excursions to protect sample integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing operations in a regulated, GxP environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑development skills.
