Operations Management Trainee

About the role

Avis Budget Group is recruiting an Operations Management Trainee in Phoenix, Arizona. The program is a structured, hands-on training path that rotates through key operational areas such as Sales, Logistics and Customer Service. After an eight-week training period, the trainee moves into a supervisory role overseeing daily operations and sales functions, with mentorship to grow from Operations Manager to Area Vice President.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise one or more daily operations and sales functions after the eight-week training.
• Maximize fleet utilization, revenue, customer satisfaction and employee management.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and lead teams.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a bachelor's or associate's degree, or an associate's degree plus at least two years of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, work well in a team and make independent decisions.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays, and to work outdoors in moderate noise conditions.
• Regular on-site presence required; the position cannot be performed remotely.
• One year of high-quality customer service experience preferred.
