Operations Management Manager IV (M4)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manager IV to lead operations management for its Austin facility. The role focuses on driving production efficiency, resource utilization, and continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor production metrics, budgets, and plant capacity, taking corrective action as needed.
• Plan, evaluate, and control project schedules and timelines to meet on‑time delivery.
• Direct, guide, and evaluate personnel to achieve production and supply‑chain goals, adhering to 5S, safety, and quality procedures.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, lean projects, and adoption of new technologies to enhance cycle time and profitability.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and development for direct reports in operational management and systems optimization.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership of homogeneous teams with the ability to adapt plans to operational challenges.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues.
• Understanding of industry standards, business impact, and compliance with global conduct policies.
