About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a motivated Operations Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This unpaid position supports the IRC Georgia and Florida offices with day‑to‑day administrative and operational tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Administrative Assistant with reception duties, client inquiries, and directing requests to appropriate staff.
- Maintain a tidy and professional reception area and lobby.
- Liaise with office and equipment maintenance providers and other external partners.
- Cover the front desk as needed.
- Follow all IRC policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Submit internship hours on the volunteer dashboard.
- Perform other assigned duties related to office operations.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail, critical‑thinking, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check.
- Commitment of at least 15 hours per week for a minimum of three consecutive months.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
