Operations Instructor – Nuclear Training

About the role

Entergy Operations is seeking an Operations Instructor to lead training programs for licensed operators and shift technical advisors in reactor operations. The role focuses on replacement, re‑qualification, and upgrade training in line with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate training programs to ensure a qualified, licensed workforce.
• Collaborate with line personnel to assess performance needs and recommend training solutions.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training materials using a systematic approach.
• Maintain and update operations training curricula for both site and corporate groups.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in education, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• For senior instructor: 12 years of commercial nuclear plant experience with an SRO license, or a related degree plus at least three years of nuclear training experience.
• For senior staff instructor: 5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) and at least five years in the associated line organization.
• Desired: three years previously licensed as a PWR‑SRO.

Required skills

• Technical proficiency in nuclear reactor operations and NRC compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
