Operations Coordinator – Finishing

About the role

Moog is seeking an Operations Coordinator for its Finishing department in the Space and Defense Group. The role is based onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area) and supports first‑shift production, ensuring that hydraulic testing and assembly activities meet schedule and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic testing and assembly tasks for roughly 50% of the workday.
• Align work assignments with inchstone scheduling and keep program status updates current.
• Provide technical expertise on complex setups, procedures, and regulatory issues.
• Coordinate equipment, staffing, and workspace setup to meet production output goals.
• Support senior coordinators with daily projects, communications, and meetings.
• Identify and drive process improvements that reduce cost and increase efficiency.
• Assist in developing team members and ensure customer requirements are met.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• At least 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and re‑assign work as needed.
