Operations Controller – Hybrid (New York)

About the role

The Operations Controller will oversee accounting activities for assigned accounts and support the Regional Director of Finance in all financial functions across the region. This hybrid position combines on‑site oversight with remote analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cash handling procedures and perform reconciliations for multiple balance‑sheet accounts.
• Analyze financial results for internal and external stakeholders.
• Track and maintain monthly profit & loss and balance‑sheet activity.
• Develop forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Review general ledger entries and resolve accounting/reconciliation issues.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including fiscal close and audit documentation.
• Maintain inventory and cost‑control procedures.
• Administer payroll and basic human‑resources functions.
• Support special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in revenue control, financial reporting, and cash handling.
• Accounting experience in food‑service or retail environments.
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash‑flow analyses.
• Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced setting.
• High personal integrity and ethical standards.
