Operations and Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials seeks an Operations and Customer Quality Engineer to lead quality improvement projects across its semiconductor manufacturing operations. The role blends hands‑on floor work with cross‑functional project management to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with ISO‑based quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage quality improvement project plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Identify process non‑conformances, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and lead Kaizen and 8D investigations.
• Monitor process performance, produce statistical reports and drive standardisation using Six Sigma methodology.
• Conduct internal quality audits, perform quality stand‑downs and collaborate with supplier quality engineers.

Required profile

• Experience managing multiple complex projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and quality management systems.
• Ability to mentor colleagues, translate management vision into tactical actions and spend time on the shop floor.
