Operations Accountant (US GAAP & Automation)

Join Netflix on our mission to entertain the world! We are looking for a highly skilled Operations Accountant to join our Operations Accounting team, where you will play a pivotal role in scaling our financial processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement opportunities, specifically within fixed assets and intercompany accounting.
• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed financial analysis.
• Partner closely with Financial Applications and Finance Engineering teams to automate workflows and enhance data integrity.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with FP&A, Project Controls, Tax, FinTech, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent Operations Accounting in large-scale cross-functional initiatives and system implementations.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support emerging business initiatives.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (Public and Private), ideally within the Tech or Media industries.
• Expertise in Fixed Assets (ASC 360) and multi-currency/intercompany accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or equivalent highly preferred).
• Experience partnering with financial systems or product engineering teams.
