Operating Room Assistant

About the role
Join UT Health Tyler’s main operating room as a full‑time Operating Room Assistant. You will work directly with the surgical team to ensure each case runs smoothly and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform turnover of operating rooms between cases, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup.
- Assist in the preparation of surgical cases under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and instruments.
- Support the surgical team by positioning equipment and preparing the sterile field.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (or enrollment in a GED program).
- At least one year of experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room setting.
