Onboarding Consultant I, Retail

About the role

Toast is looking for an Onboarding Consultant to join its growing Retail team. In this role you will act as the primary relationship manager for new retail customers, guiding them from purchase through the first 30 days of using the Toast POS platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end onboarding for retail accounts, ensuring activation goals are met.
• Conduct remote site assessments to identify networking and installation requirements.
• Document the installation process, note any deviations from best practices, and communicate findings to project teams.
• Develop and deliver training programs for store staff on using the Toast system to improve labor, inventory, and guest management.
• Manage multiple onboarding engagements simultaneously, supporting a portfolio of 45+ retail businesses.
• Provide post‑live remote support during the first month of usage, troubleshooting issues and offering follow‑up training.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑focused mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent communication and project‑management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on customer needs and company goals.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, growth‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with the Toast POS system.
