Occupational Therapist – Outpatient – Lymphedema Specialist

About the role

The Occupational Therapist will work in the Fairview Wellness Center providing outpatient services focused on lymphedema and functional rehabilitation. The position supports patients in regaining independence and improving quality of life through targeted therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and psychosocial deficits affecting independent living skills.
• Design, implement and modify individualized plans of care, including appropriate modalities and frequency of treatment.
• Document subjective and objective findings, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about deficits, adaptive equipment and discharge planning.
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with licensing laws and practice standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an AOTA‑accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Preferred: prior clinical experience and lymphedema therapy experience.
