Occupational Therapist - Lymphedema

About the role

Occupational Therapists at Cleveland Clinic provide a wide range of services to help patients improve their ability to perform daily living activities. This role focuses on patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial deficits, including those affected by lymphedema. The position works Monday to Thursday with day/evening rotation and no weekend or holiday requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits impacting independent living skills.
• Assess patient ability to safely perform independent living tasks and design appropriate plans of care.
• Implement treatment plans using suitable modalities and document patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families/caregivers about deficits and care strategies.
• Direct and supervise support personnel activities.
• Act as a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree and graduation from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Preferred: experience in the clinical area and certification with Lymphedema.
