Occupational Health Program Manager

About the role

The Occupational Health Program Manager leads the Occupational Health Program for Laboratory and Animal Research staff at Saint Louis University, ensuring high‑quality service, regulatory compliance, and the health and safety of employees.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and audit OHP services, promoting best practices based on research and evidence.
• Formulate and evaluate policies for health protection and worker surveillance to meet regulatory requirements.
• Partner with research leadership and external professionals to provide expert guidance and maintain strong relationships.
• Gather and analyze data for continuous improvement, communicate trends, and advise on action plans.
• Maintain a confidential records management system and support training, health surveillance, vaccinations, respirator fit testing, and injury/illness investigations.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) with at least four years of occupational safety and health experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910, 1926, 1904, 1960) and strong written and verbal communication skills.
