About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a dedicated OB/GYN Staff Physician to join its New Orleans campus. The role supports Ochsner’s mission to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

  • Examine patients, diagnose clinical conditions, and prescribe medications, treatments, and follow‑up care.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Order additional evaluations, make referrals, and ensure proper coding of all visits.
  • Adhere to Ochsner policies, accreditation standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

  • Board certified or eligible for certification in OB/GYN.
  • Licensed MD or DO, credentialed and willing to maintain clinical practice.
  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and high standards of patient care.

Required skills

  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation.
  • Medical coding and accurate charge capture.
  • Prescribing pharmaceuticals and managing treatment regimens.
