Nurse Practitioner – Hematology/Oncology (Per Diem)

About the role

Join an established and dynamic team on the Hematology/Oncology unit at Ronald Reagan Medical Center. As a Nurse Practitioner you will provide high‑quality care to patients with hematologic malignancies and support their families in a collaborative, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinical care for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other hematologic cancers.
• Manage patients undergoing stem cell transplantation, CAR‑T cell therapy, and participation in clinical trials.
• Implement clinical protocols and adjust treatment regimens based on patient assessments and observed reactions.
• Deliver patient and family education, ensure safe continuity of care, and make appropriate referrals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, provide education to staff, and support the care team.

Required profile

• Valid California RN and NP license.
• MSN or DNP in Adult Acute Care (AG‑ACNP) with national certification.
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Enrollment in PECOS, CURES, and possession of NPI and DEA numbers.
• Previous NP experience; oncology experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and document patient care comprehensively.
